We’re thrilled to announce that Femmes Fatales, founded in Yorkshire, has been nominated for a Yorkshire Choice Award! The prestigious awards are an annual event that celebrate local people and organisations and their inspirational achievements.

The Yorkshire Choice Awards recognise local people and independent businesses that are an inspiration in their field. The categories cover a wide range of backgrounds and skill sets, yet they all have one thing in common… The will to achieve!

Our nomination is in the Sporting Achievement of the Year category, for our voluntary work in encouraging and inspiring more women and girls to get involved in sport, get outdoors and get active.

Our team of volunteers are passionate about creating more opportunities for women to try our sport, so for them to be recognised in this way is a great achievement for them.

This category, sponsored by The Wetherby Whaler, was won by rugby league team the Leeds Rhinos last year, so for our non-mainstream sport to be recognised in the same category as such a high profile sport as rugby league is really quite incredible. We are so pleased simply to have been nominated and are looking forward to the awards night on 1st April, no matter what the result of the vote is.

We would ask that all clay shooting enthusiasts get behind us and vote for Femmes Fatales by visiting The Yorkshire Choice Awards website. Help us to get the sport we all love in the spotlight!
Thank you
